Cherrywood Orchard on the Meaningful Marketplace Podcast: Growing Flathead Cherries with Purpose
I had the exciting opportunity to be a guest on a podcast hosted by Sarah Masoni and Sarah Marshall, joined by co-host Joel Carlson, Facility Manager at the Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center. This conversation was an incredible chance to share the story of Cherrywood Orchard and highlight the work we do to grow premium Flathead cherries right here in Bigfork, Montana.
During the episode, we dove into the unique challenges and rewards of growing cherries in Montana’s distinct climate. I shared insights about the regenerative practices we use at Cherrywood Orchard to prioritize soil health and sustainability while producing cherries of the highest quality. We also discussed how we extend the life of our harvest by creating a variety of cherry-based products, including jams, sauces, and even skincare!
It was a joy to connect with these amazing hosts who are passionate about promoting local agriculture and innovative food production. Being part of a community that values creativity, sustainability, and collaboration keeps me inspired to do what I love.
